About Ron

While earning his M.D. at Case Western Reserve University, Dr. Ron Wish traveled around the world, studying cross cultural medicine, exploring indigenous healing, and studying T'ai Chi Ch'uan. In 1986 he completed the Family Medicine Residency at the University of Maryland Hospital and became board certified.


Since then, Ron has lived his passion as a full time practitioner and teacher of Craniosacral Therapy. His healing practice and Craniosacral Therapy training program are based in Nyack, New York, a lovely village on the sacred waters of the Hudson (A.K.A. Great) River.


Ron is married to a gifted psychologist, father to three wonderful children, and companion to a wise mutt found long ago on a New York subway.

The Great River Craniosacral Therapy Institute was created during a transformational pilgrimage to Auschwitz in 1994. This sacred journey inspired Ron to create a healing space where light can shine and suffering can be acknowledged and healed.



Dr. Ron Wish, whose Hebrew name, Yitzchak, means laughter, is a warm, caring teacher, trained in both modern medical science and complementary spiritual healing.


This continuing nursing education activity is approved by the American Holistic Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center's Commission on Accreditation.
